Infineon’s electronic chipsets include sensors, microcontrollers, gate drivers, and power semiconductors that reduce operating costs. Speed up car charging

The high-voltage battery charging system in plug-in hybrid (PHEV) or electric (EV) vehicles connected directly from the grid while the vehicle is parked with a charging station/post helps to accelerate charging. Battery Management System (BMS)

Due to their chemical nature, the battery cell is very sensitive to the accuracy of discharge/charge current, voltage, and temperature parameters, so batteries need special monitoring and control capabilities. This is the role of the BMS. The BMS monitors and maintains the balance of each battery cell.

BMS with a sensor system can measure temperature, pressure, current, and voltage, measure charging capacity, and monitor many other indicators. Based on these parameters, the system calculates the state of charge (SoC), the health status of the battery (SoH), and precise consumption to predict energy demand.

In addition, the main function of the BMS is to protect the battery from overload by reducing or disconnecting the battery.

Boost engine performance

The main inverter (also known as traction inverter), controls the electric motor and converts direct current (DC) power into alternating current (AC) power so that the motor can work. The inverter can change the rotational speed of the motor by adjusting the frequency of the AC power supply.
