Nghi Son Steel Rolling Factory No. 2, with a capacity of 3 million tons/year, total investment of nearly 8,000 billion VND. This is a project using the most modern Italian steel technology DANIELI in Europe and is divided into 2 investment phases.

On January 12, at Nghi Son Economic Zone, Nghi Son VAS Group Joint Stock Company (formerly known as Nghi Son Iron and Steel Joint Stock Company) held a groundbreaking ceremony for Nghi Son Steel Rolling Plant Project No. 2.

This is a project using the most modern Italian steel technology DANIELI in Europe and is divided into 2 investment phases. Phase 1 of the project, with a capacity of 1.5 million tons of steel billet/year, will be deployed for construction investment from January 2022 to March 2023. Phase 2, with a capacity of 1.5 million tons of billet/year and 1.5 million tons of rolled steel/year, will be deployed from July 2022 to March 2025. This is also the 6th project that this enterprise has invested in in Nghi Son Economic Zone.

The project of Nghi Son Steel Rolling Factory No. 2 was invested and put into operation, not only continuing to affirm the Nghi Son steel brand, submitting to domestic and international markets, but also contributing to economy restructuring, creating jobs, raising incomes for local people, contributing to the socio-economic growth of Thanh Hoa province.

Previously, Nghi Son Steel Rolling Factory 1 went into operation in early 2020, with a total investment of 4,980 billion VND, capable of producing 1 million tons of steel billet and 1 million tons of rolled steel products/year.

According to the investment phase, from 2023 to 2024, the third factory will continue to be built. When all three lines go into production, Nghi Son Steel Rolling Plant will have a total capacity of 3.5 million tons/year of billet production and 2.5 million tons of finished rolled steel/year. State books from 3,000 to 4,000 billion VND/year.
