MTA HANOI2017 features the largest Showcase of Machine Tools and Metal-working Equipment for North Vietnam

An expansive range of precision engineering, manufacturing solutions and seminars are just some of the highlights of what MTA HANOI2017 has in store for industry professionals in North Vietnam and further afield.

Ho Chi Minh City, 11 October 2017 – North Vietnam’s thriving manufacturing sector converges this week at MTA HANOI2017, which gets off to a great start today with a wide range of state-of-the-art products, technologies and innovative solutions. The event returns at a timely moment in support of the local manufacturing scene which has consistently grown over the past few years. This has raised the confidence amongst overseas and domestic investors, stimulating more demand for ever more sophisticated manufacturing equipment and technologies, which will be on full-scale display at this annual precision engineering and manufacturing technology event.

Since 2008, MTA HANOI has been established as an important must-attend manufacturing tradeshow for engineers and manufacturing professionals in North Vietnam and beyond. With the success of previous editions, this year’s event continues to see strong support from many commercial trade bodies and government agencies in the form of international group pavilions. A total of seven group pavilions will be show-casing this year, under the umbrella of some organizations and institutions such as Precision Machinery Development Association of Republic of China (Taiwan), Korea International Trade Association, Singapore Precision Engineering & Technology Association, and so forth.

In conjunction with the international support is the unwavering endorsement of this event from local government organizations such as Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Vietnam Association of Mechanical Industry, Vietnam Electronic Industries Association, to name a few.

Leading manufacturing brands present their best-sellers at MTA HANOI2017

Occupying 4,300 square meters of the exhibition space, this year, yet again, brings forth a premier grouping of industry movers and shakers looking forward to unveil their latest offerings and products covering a broad technology scope relevant to the manufacturing sector. In over 175 exhibitors from 19 countries and regions are present, 71 per cent of whom are from overseas. Some of the reputable international industry heavyweights include: Beijing Jingdiao, Carl Zeiss, DNE, Makino, Mitsubishi Electric, Mitutoyo, NT Tool, Optical Gaging, Renishaw, Sodick, QES, amongst others.

These exhibitors will present a comprehensive range of their core products, leading-edge solutions as well as best-selling technological innovations. Notable amongst the best-sellers being lively demonstrated on the expo floor are the following:

SODICK Wire-cut EDM machine: Sodick brings to MTA HANOI2017 the high-performance wire-cutting EDM machine that is thoroughly designed and tested to guarantee higher rigidity, ensuring optimum efficiency and the best quality machine ends up on the production floor.

Makino D200Z 5-Axis Vertical Machining Center: Makino is featuring its latest ultra-compact, easily automated 5-axis vertical machining center that delivers high quality surface finishing and accuracy. The D200Z is ideal for making plastic injection molds, multi-cavity molds, high precision parts, medical, optical and watch components.

Renishaw Equator™ gauging system: Presented by Renishaw, the Equator™ gauging system is a versatile alternative to custom gauging, offering inspection of an unprecedented variety of manufactured parts. It has been developed and proven on the shop-floor in collaboration with industry-leading companies in multiple industries and applications.

Marposs Mida Diamond Touch Probe: Diamond is the range of Marposs high precision products for machine tools, able to check every step of the whole production process. The VOP40P Diamond probe allows the inspection of extremely complex parts and 3D surfaces, guaranteeing high part precision and less production rejects.

Launchpad for home-grown Vietnamese companies

Not only providing the ideal trade exhibition for international players keen to gain a foothold in Vietnam’s market, MTA HANOI is also positioned as a launch pad for local Vietnamese suppliers to enhance their industry presence. Back for its fifth edition, the event has seen an uptick growth in local participation. Local industry pioneers such as Tinh Ha and Van Su Loi, Bibus, T.A.T, Bao Son (HAAS Automation), evidently benefitting from the influx of demand for machine tools have all taken up significantly large exhibition booths at the expo.

MTA HANOI2017 also welcomes a number of local new-comers showcasing a wide assortment of manufacturing and metal-working solutions, including: Truong Nguyen (TNG-EST), Fil Vietnam, Vision Equipment, Lasertech, CNC Vietnam, Nhat Ha, and many more.

Seminars and educational sessions for a complete visiting experience

In addition to a strong line-up of overseas and homegrown exhibitors, along with the top-of-the-range technology and know-now on offer, MTA HANOI2017 also hosts technology seminars covering a range of topical industry issues. Delegates will get the opportunity to listen to experts speaking about the growing prominence of Vietnam's industrial capabilities, as well as gather first-hand, accurate information on the latest trends and advancements in the manufacturing field.

Two half-day seminars taking place on 12 and 13 October by the Lean Six Sigma Network consist of case studies and panel discussions on Industry 4.0 and manufacturing intelligence, plus presentations on the Internet of Things (IoT) and its applications in the ongoing industrial revolution.

Complementing the program is another half-day seminar hosted by the Multi Engineering Solutions Laboratory (MESLAB) - the largest mechanical and manufacturing community in Vietnam, themed "Intellectual Property Protection in the Era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution". This seminar provides a comprehensive overview of key intellectual property rights (IPR) protection and enforcement issues, further offering valuable resources to help entrepreneurs protect their IP assets. This dynamic, insightful program will feature presentations by IP experts and educational professionals from National Institute of Patent and Technology Exploitation - Ministry of Science and Technology, Dongguk University (Korea), to name a few.
