MTA HANOI2017 – Catching Golden Opportunities in North Vietnam’s Expanding Manufacturing Industries

Ho Chi Minh City, 26 July 2017 - The participation in numerous Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) along with the prospects for the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), post Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) withdrawal, will still keep Vietnam as a promising destination for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). A growing wave of high-tech investors into Vietnam, especially in the manufacturing and precision engineering sectors, is helping to reinforce Vietnam as Southeast Asia’s prominent manufacturing hub.

As a result, it is ever more critical for Vietnamese manufacturers to maintain and improve their capabilities to entice investor interest. Manufacturers hereby need to continually upgrade production facilities, expand capacities and stay updated with the latest technologies in order to compete globally under continuously tightening manufacturing quality standards.

Dedicated to serving the diverse needs of the industry as well as supporting its next stage developments, MTA HANOI – the international precision engineering, machine tools and metalworking trade exhibition is strongly back for its 5th edition, staged from 11 to 13 October 2017 in the International Centre for Exhibition (I.C.E), Hanoi, Vietnam. The exhibition is well positioned as the premier business platform for industry exhibitors, buyers and visitors alike to learn, network and invest.

MTA HANOI is organized by UBM VES (formerly known as SES Vietnam Exhibition Services) – the Vietnam’s top and most successful trade exhibition and conference organizer. Mr. BT Tee – General Manager of UBM VES shared his heartfelt thoughts on the event’s opportune staging: “With over a decade of manufacturing industry experience in Vietnam, we have long realized that this country is too large (and long) for one primary event – MTA VIETNAM in Ho Chi Minh City to effectively cater for everyone’s needs. Travel time and efficiency has dictated that we develop an event uniquely for Northern Vietnam with Hanoi as the epicentre. Our clients have always commented that although the northern manufacturing marketplace is half the size of Ho Chi Minh City, it is growing at twice the rate. This has held true and reflected in the growth rate of MTA HANOI which I am pleased to say has fully filled the halls of I.C.E in this coming 5th edition.”

“As we continually improve our promotional reach to surrounding factories and buyers, we are very confident that MTA HANOI will serve the manufacturing community well in delivering the necessary technologies and training skills which the industry requires to remain globally competitive, and look forward to serving more factories looking to set up in and around Hanoi,” he also added.

The well-timed return of MTA HANOI2017

MTA HANOI2017 is expected to gather more than 160 local and international exhibiting companies from more than 19 countries and regions, including seven international group pavilions from Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. A wealth of innovative solutions, cost-effective technologies and best-of-breed products and services will be showcased across 4,300 square meters of the exhibition floor. Walking along the aisles of the venue, visitors will be amazed by a diversity of exhibit profiles, ranging from CNC lathe machines, laser-processing machines, EDMs and wire-cut machines, to optical measuring devices, welding equipment, cutting tools and tooling systems.

Key confirmed industry players to the show include: Beijing Jingdiao, Bibus, Carl Zeiss, Cybertech, Growell, Hiwin, Olas, Makino, Marposs, Mitsubishi, Mituyoto, NT Tool, Optical Gaging, Renishaw, Sodick, Tinh Ha, Top Winner, Van Su Loi, to name a few. A large number of prominent international exhibitors has repeated their participation along with many new-to-market companies, making this year’s trade show the largest and most comprehensive edition ever since its inception in 2010.

Held in the week of 26-28 April 2016, the previous edition of MTA HANOI proved to be a resounding success with more than 4,600 trade visitors from 12 countries and regions flocking to the show floor in search of the latest and advanced manufacturing technologies to help increase efficiency and further reach business potential. In excess of 90 per cent of the visitors found their visit worthwhile and were pleased with the varied and exciting international selection of machinery and products on display. Following the significant attendance in the previous show, the 2017 edition is expected to draw almost 5,000 trade visitors from more than 15 countries and regions.

Value-added concurrent events for visitors – Industry 4.0 is the prime focus

More than just a platform to interact with world-renowned manufacturers, technology providers and solutions suppliers, MTA HANOI2017 will also provide visitors with an opportunity to partake many educational sessions and interactive seminars. Featuring an impressive line-up of local and regional visionary speakers, decision-makers and industry experts, the seminar programs are geared to help delegates enhance their industry knowledge, expand professional network, and stay relevant with the current trends and opportunities that lie ahead for the manufacturing industry.

Focusing on the theme of Industry 4.0 or so-called “smart manufacturing”, a comprehensive two-day program compiled by the Lean Six Sigma Network will cover a variety of pertinent topics that can add value to business operations and increase its competitive edge. Notable issues discussed at the program will include: the fundamental concept and best practices of Industry 4.0, the development of Internet of Things (IoT), and the significant roles of Industry 4.0 and IoT in the ongoing manufacturing revolution.

In addition, the conference schedule at MTA HANOI2017 will also include some symposiums hosted by Multi Engineering Solutions Laboratory (MESLAB) and other well-known associations, allowing delegates to hop on the bandwagon, impart technological updates and understand market dynamics through a variety of inspiring case studies and thoughtful presentations.
