MTA HANOI Reaffirmed its Commitment to Supporting the Northern Vietnam’s Manufacturing Industry through New Innovations and Technological Know-How

MTA HANOI2017, North Vietnam's most international manufacturing trade exhibition wrapped up on an all-time high, drawing close to 5,000 trade visitors from 13 countries in attendance.

Ho Chi Minh City, 24 October 2017 – North Vietnam's leading trade show for the fields of precision engineering, machine tools and manufacturing solutions, MTA HANOI2017, came to a rousing close on 13 October 2017 at the International Center of Exhibition (I.C.E), Hanoi. The fifth edition welcomed a total of 4,983 visitors from 13 countries and regions through its doors, representing an increase of 8 per cent over last year - and an all-time high. Spanning across 4,300 square meters with the participation of more than 170 exhibitors, and a full roster of seminar sessions that brought the manufacturing industry to life, this edition of MTA HANOI proved to be the most comprehensive yet.

"What a crazy first exhibition day we had at MTA HANOI2017 due to the huge thunderstorms which hit Hanoi! On behalf of the organizers, I must especially thank all those visitors who braved the elements to attend the event on the first day. You honor us with your amazing support and dedication, reassuring us that we do indeed provide a valuable manufacturing technology platform worth getting wet for. And, incredibly, even with the storms, our visitor numbers over three full days have gone up, who have stayed longer in the show compared to previous years. Wow, and as the French would say, chapeau!” enthusiastically stated Mr. BT Tee – General Manager of UBM VES, the organizer of MTA HANOI2017.

High degree of satisfaction amongst exhibitors

The exhibition floor was abuzz with excitement and activity as thousands of relevant buyers scoured the halls over three days to experience technological advances in action, cultivate important relationships as well as discover new possibilities to move up the value chain. Overall, exhibitors were pleased with the large visitor turnout, the abundance of networking opportunities and the prospect of good follow-up businesses. Its fruitful outcomes are, yet again, a strong testament to MTA HANOI’s growing prominence as the must-attend manufacturing trade event in North Vietnam and well beyond.

Veteran exhibitor and a world leader in engineering technologies, Mr. Steve Bell – General Manager (ASEAN), Renishaw (Singapore) Pte Ltd summed up his experience: “We notice that the show has actually been improving and getting better over the last couples of years. So far everything is progressing really well. We have had many visitors come by to our booth. We are pleased with the people we have reached out and made contact with. Every time we come to MTA HANOI, we seem to get more leads and enquiries. And we look forward to an equally successful experience this time.”

With echoing sentiments, Mr. Michael Wang – General Manager, Beijing Jingdiao Vietnam shared: “Beijing Jingdiao has greatly benefited from our many years of participation at the MTA exhibition both in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The show has always been a great platform for us to interact with numerous professional visitors, introduce our products and establish solid relationships with potential partners. We are satisfied that this year’s visitors are of a higher quality than in previous editions. We have had a great response so far and a number of positive leads. Definitely worth attending!”

The exhibition also hosted a number of new exhibitors from across Asia and abroad. That included, amongst others, Makino Vietnam Co. Ltd. “Makino is a long-time exhibitor at MTA VIETNAM since 2009. After carefully taking into account various aspects related to the industry landscape, market trends and the customers, we think this is an opportune time for Makino to come to the North and exhibit at MTA HANOI2017. The North Vietnam’s manufacturing industry is booming with massive growth potential. That is why we are here, basically to reach out to our prospective clients, maximize our exposure and serve the thriving needs of the industry. As such, these industrial machinery exhibitions like MTA HANOI is a very effective platform that is essential to our marketing strategy over the long-term,” explained          Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoa – Country Manager, Makino Vietnam.

“SOLD@MTA” signs scattered on the show floor

The aisles were crowded, the booths were bustling, the attendees were upbeat, business was brisk and on-site sales leads were plentiful – This is what you could observe at MTA HANOI2017. Many product exhibits had "SOLD" signs displayed on them - a testament to the effectiveness and position of MTA HANOI as an important marketplace for both buyers and sellers in the manufacturing community.

“We have successfully sold our 3D scanning solution right at the expo. The response has been great, and we will definitely be back again next year and the years to come!” said Mr. Lam Hoa Binh – Director of Vision Equipment Co. Ltd. “We are very happy with our first participation at MTA HANOI. It is noticed that the engineering and automation technology in the Northern Vietnam market is currently in highly demand, which is fully aligned with our business and company goals. This is the right show to be at for reaching out to the prospective customers,” he also added.

Seminar program stole the limelight

Held as part of the main exhibition, a roster of free-to-attend seminars and panel sessions appealed equally to industrialists, technical specialists, researchers and business leaders alike. Drawing over 250 trade delegates in attendance, the seminars provided insightful expert-led sessions that touched on pertinent issues surrounding the evolving industry landscape, including Industry 4.0, the Internet of Things, cyber-physical systems, cloud computing and more. Delegate feedback was positive as they were given an opportunity to network, impart technological updates, and stay on the forefront of the latest trends.

The seminars were organized in conjunction with Lean Six Sigma Network and Multi Engineering Solutions Laboratory (MESLAB). Keynote speakers included: Mr. Nguyen Nhat Quang - Vice Chairman, Vietnam Software & IT Services Association (VINASA); Dr. Nguyen Viet Hai - Vice Director, VINASA Science & Technology Institute; Dr. Nguyen Tien Dong - Vice Dean, School of Mechanical Engineering, Hanoi University of Science & Technology; amongst others.

At the expo, we were quite impressed with the warm welcome and professionalism of exhibiting staff, who were always willing to explain their products in a thorough and meaningful way. We are currently interested in the Industry 4.0 technological applications and have contentedly found some relevant suppliers that meet our needs.”

“I have visited MTA HANOI for many times. This edition was well-organized and the scale is impressive with a variety of well-decorated exhibition booths. We are sourcing for CNC milling machine and 3D printing technology providers, in hope of improving our productivity and capabilities.
