MTA HANOI features many international pavilions in 2017

Hanoi, 24 August 2017 - Momentum building for Northern Vietnam’s largest exhibition catering to the fields of precision engineering, metalworking and machine tools - MTA HANOI2017. With an expanded, sold-out floor plan and visitor-ship projected to be in excess of 5,000 trade visitors, anticipation is increasing for what has been billed the “must-attend” manufacturing trade show in the Northern region of Vietnam.

Taking place at Hanoi International Centre of Exhibition (I.C.E) on 11 - 13 October 2017, the show is on track to be the biggest and most diverse edition in its long history, featuring more than 170 exhibiting companies from 19 countries and regions, with exhibits covering the entire manufacturing value chain spread over 4,300 square metres of exhibition space.

Walking the show floor is a journey of discovery for all manufacturing professionals as they will be able to witness new product launches, get hands-on experience with innovative technology, whilst at the same time networking with peers and keeping abreast of the latest industry trends and developments. From metal-forming, laser cutting and machining tools; CNC lathes; milling machines; electric discharge machines; metrology and test equipment; to laser systems and other machine parts, every vertical market in the manufacturing industry is fully represented at this annual trade show.

Strong participation of group pavilions

Both the expansion and international appeal of MTA HANOI are testaments to the exhibition’s significance for the Northern Vietnam’s rapidly evolving manufacturing industry. In addition, generous contributions from local, regional and international supporting bodies also speak equally to MTA HANOI’s vitality. As in previous editions, MTA HANOI2017 continues to receive staunch support from various international associations, bringing to the show a total of seven country group pavilions from Korea (4 groups), Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.

Under the patronage of the Precision Machinery Development Association of Republic of China (CMD), the Taiwan pavilion features a strong lineup of companies who are amongst the front runners in the area of machine tool manufacturing. Some key brands showcasing under Taiwan pavilion include: Carmar, Jagular, Jainnher, Lihsun, Palmary, Yong Ju, to name just a few. Needless to say, Taiwan’s machine tool industry has built an unrivalled reputation for its technological expertise, cementing its position as the world’s seventh-largest machine tool producer and the world's fifth-largest machine tool exporter. Therefore, the strong convergence of Taiwanese companies at this edition of MTA HANOI will inevitably bring enormous opportunities and potential for Vietnam – Taiwan business community to leverage on, exchange and flourish.

This year also sees significant participation from South Korea as the country features four different group pavilions under the umbrella of the Incheon Business Information Technopark, the Korea International Trade Association (Daegu & Gyeongbuk Center), the Daegu Technopark Mobile Technology Convergence Center, and the Hanbat National University (Intelligent Machine Industry Support Center). The Korean associations and their participating companies are thrilled to introduce a wide array of cutting-edge solutions that can be applied to numerous manufacturing sectors in Vietnam. Some of the relevant brands are listed as follows: DKM Motor, Kisan, Daesung, JD Tools, UJ Tech, Daejin, and more.

One of the largest zones at the exhibition is the Singapore pavilion under the auspices of the Singapore Precision Engineering & Technology Association (SPETA). Singapore has strengthened its presence with a number of sizeable booths due to the increasing number of Singaporean represented companies looking to establish brand recognition and gain a foothold in the burgeoning Vietnamese market. Carl Zeiss, Hitachi, Kennametal, Makino, Mitutoyo, Optical Gaging, Renishaw and Sandvik are only a few amongst the highlighted exhibitors within the Singapore pavilion.

Completing the line-up of group pavilions is Thailand group, hosted by the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) – a government agency whose mission is to facilitate commercial ties and promote foreign investment between Thailand and other counterparts. Some of the Thai exhibitors are: Flowlution, Kings Brite, Lohaprateep, Thaicheer Powder, and others.

Industry experts set for lively panel debates on the topical issues

Apart from the extensive array of exhibits, MTA HANOI2017 is also renowned for a string of content-rich seminars, interactive workshops and lively panel debates on some of the current issues affecting the manufacturing and precision engineering sectors. Featuring a strong line-up of local and regional speakers and industry experts, these carefully crafted seminars present a great opportunity for delegates to foster industry learning, enhance knowledge, exchange ideas and establish business relationships.

A wide range of topics will be discussed at the seminars including: new pathway to Industry 4.0, Internet of Things (IoT) and Smart Manufacturing; Technological trends and practical applications of Industry 4.0; Industrial safety and security solutions; Intellectual property protection in the new era of the industrial revolution; and many more.
